Oamaru is a beautiful coastal town on the east coast of the South Island of New Zealand. We overlook the picturesque Friendly Bay, including the Blue Penguin Colony on the outer edge of the harbour. A small colony of Yellow-eyed (Hoiho) penguins can be viewed in the next bay.

We are centrally located, with the Visitor Information Centre, the Historic Precinct, a variety of restaurants, the shopping centre and the Oamaru Gardens all within a few minutes walk. Lookout Point is just 3 minutes drive away with views of the length of the bay, the township and also the Southern Alps in the distance.

We are off the main highway, in a quiet and peaceful area. We have facilities in the lounge room for making hot and cold drinks, with biscuits and fresh fruit for our guests' enjoyment. Ours is a non-smoking establishment.
